End of the First World War
World war one finally ended in 1918 they played a decisive role in the end of the war. The United States brought lots of troops into war and the Great War finally came to and end with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty ended the stat of war between Germany and the Allied Powers and it required Germany to accept the responsibility for causing the Great War. Many other treaties were made during the end of World War One. Though the end of war was a positive outcome, there were many unfortunate casualties and negative consequences to be dealt with.
Peace Treaties That Were Made
World war one finally ended in 1919 with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Other treaties that were made included the Treaty of Trianon, between the Allies and Hungary, where it regulated the status of an independent Hungarian state and defined its borders. Five of Hungary's largest cities were taken away with these new borders. The Treaty of Saint-Germain was another treaty that was signed this time by the Allies and German-Austria, where it formally dissolved the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Treaty of Neuilly was signed between Bulgaria and the world war one victors, where they had to give up many of their territories to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. During World War Two, the Germans helped reoccupy most of the territories ceded under the treaty. Finally the Treaty of Sevres signed between the Allies and the Ottoman Empire stated what Britain and France would do with the Middle East. The British also took control of the oil concessions in Iraq.

The Middle East & WWI

After the end of World War One, the Middle East became colonized by much of the countries who had previously colonized the Ottoman Empire. Some of the territories that were affected included Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine. New boundaries of the Middle East were created after the Great War and so were the Arab & Islamic nationalist movements.
